“A high-quality life starts with a high-quality you. My basic coaching philosophy in working with clients is one of extreme self-care – the foundation of a rich and fulfilling life. This means putting self-care above anything else – saying no unless it’s an absolute yes, choosing to spend your time and energy on things that bring you joy, and making decisions based on what you want instead of what others want. It’s a challenging concept for most.

… Extreme self-care begins with learning to be selfish. For some, the word ‘selfish’ conjures up negative reactions, and yet there is a very positive side to it as well. For example, we’ve all been told by flight attendants that when flying on an airplane with children, we should put the oxygen mask on ourselves first in the event of an emergency. By doing this we can then care for our child. When you practice extreme self-care and put yourself first, you are then fully available to others without resentment or anger.”
